OVERVIEW

Waverley is a purpose build care home catering for the care needs of Adults with Learning  Difficulties, Elderly & Physically Disabled residents who do not require nursing care. The home opened in 1994 & we still have several original residents who have made it their permanent home.

It is on the High Street (the main road into town) just a 10 minute walk to local shops & our award-winning Blue Flag beach just 15 minutes walk away too

COVID-19

Waverley has been fortunate to remain totally Covid-free throughout the pandemic, with none of the residents having caught the virus due to our stringent infection control measures in place. We are slowly getting back to normality with normal visit access allowed but we request that all visitors please do a Lateral Flow Test before they enter the building & make any contact with the residents.

Residents are once again accessing the community independently or with the support of staff (1-1) 

ROOM VACANCIES

We currently have 4 vacant bedrooms available for respite or long-term care.

1 - first floor single room with hand basin
2 - ground floor single room with hand basin
3 - ground floor double room (used as single) with hand basin
4 - ground floor double room (used as single) with en-suite wet room / shower / toilet.

STAFF VACANCIES

We are lucky to have a very good staff retention & many of our staff have been with us for 20+ years. We tend to not have many staff vacancies, as staff stay with us, as they enjoy the working environment & only leave when they wish to retire. As we have a number of very long term residents too, this makes it more of "family home" environment & not just a usual care home / work place.
